In this video, Michael Orlans explains how and why attachment is the single biggest factor in healthy childhood development.
“We know that human beings are hardwired to connect,” he said while explaining the core childhood development concepts to a recent audience of treatment providers. “Everyone has that program ready to go when you’re born, and it either gets activated by the right types of experiences, or it lays dormant.
“We have come up with a way to activate that attachment anytime in life,” he added. “So, when you miss that window of the first three years, it’s not too late to have a happy childhood.”
Mr. Orlans and his partner, Dr. Terry Levy, are master therapists specializing in the treatment of attachment disorders and trauma for children and welcome your questions about core childhood development concepts.
