Evergreen Psychotherapy Center Attachment Treatment and Training Institute

Rear view of institute

Our center sits in magnificent Elk Meadow, 1,140 acres of rolling meadows, forests and streams at the foot of Colorado’s Bergen Peak. This scenic area was part of the hunting grounds of the Mountain Ute tribes and was used by the Cheyenne and Arapahoe for summer hunting and as a source of lodgepole pine for their teepees. A favorite habitat for elk and deer, Elk Meadow is an important calving ground for a 1,200 herd of elk. In addition to containing the headwaters of Bergen and Troublesome creeks, the meadow has hiking trails leading to five different ecosystems. We also sit directly on Buchanan Ponds, stocked by a world-class fly fishing school.

With plentiful sunshine, crisp air and low humidity year ’round, Evergreen offers an abundance of recreational activities including hiking, mountain biking, backpacking, golf, boating and fishing. Winter activities include ice skating, snow shoeing, cross-country skiing, and close access to world-class ski resorts.

Our office is only 22 miles from downtown Denver, offering convenient access to museums, sporting events, music, and exceptional dining.
